Alternative Dispute Resolution

Alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”) is an option to resolving conflict instead of court involvement.  A common type of ADR is mediation. In mediation, a third party neutral (a mediator) works to help the opposing parties reach a resolution of their dispute together.  Mediation may be less costly and usually affords the parties a quicker result and more control over the process.   It can also give the parties more long term satisfaction, especially if the disputants have an enduring relationship.  ADR can be used in both civil and family disputes.  If you are interested in learning more about the ADR process and how it may benefit you, please contact our office today.
